When converting a PDF that contains a table, PDF Alchemist can sometimes detect that the data is a table and other times it cannot. Here are examples of this.
In one case, PDF Alchemist correctly detects the table in the PDF (it has borders) and in the other it does not understand that the data is organized as a table without borders.
It would be great if PDF Alchemist could handle both cases and output the correct table in HTML.4 votes
We have released a minor update to PDF Alchemist (version 2.1.3) that introduces a small change that improved the handling of tables where a single cell may have contained data from multiple rows, check out the blog post about it for more details : http://blogs.datalogics.com/2016/08/02/pdf-alchemist-version-2-1-3-and-future-plans/
Trying to get started with PDF Alchemist on Ubuntu and running the command line version returns an error noting that it cannot find libpng.
error while loading shared libraries: libpng15.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
It would be really helpful to have the list of dependencies noted in the documentation or in the Knowledge Base so that as a user who is evaluating PDF Alchemist, I can find and install the dependencies before trying to run the command line application.1 vote
